WebBird's foot cliffbrake fern is a one-foot-tall by one-foot-wide, deciduous maidenhair fern that is native to Yuba and Sutter Counties and typically grows at elevations below 8,500 feet. It is most often found in dry, rocky areas in central oak woodland, valley grassland, or yellow pine forest. It grows primarily on rocks and prefers full sun.
